MOSAÏC® Therapy
Online Support for Stress and Anxiety
FAQ
Is MOSAIC therapy effective when done online?
Yes. MOSAIC therapy sessions can be conducted effectively online.
Video conferencing allows for support that is just as effective as in-person sessions, in an environment that is reassuring for the patient. Many patients even find it easier to work through their emotions from the comfort of their own home.
Are online sessions just as effective as in-person sessions?
Scientific studies show that online sessions can be just as effective as in-person sessions, particularly for anxiety and depression. They also offer greater flexibility, easier access to care, and the ability to receive regular support from anywhere, while maintaining a high-quality therapeutic relationship. In many cases, they therefore provide an effective, modern, and convenient solution for receiving appropriate psychological care.
What happens during an online session?
Each session begins with a discussion to understand your situation, your needs, and your goals.
We then proceed with therapeutic work based on MOSAIC® therapy, which uses gentle bilateral stimulation (alternating sounds delivered through headphones). This process helps mobilize your internal resources and gradually soothe the emotional reactions associated with certain difficult experiences.
The session concludes with a period of integration to reinforce the changes and connect them to concrete, easy-to-implement actions in your daily life.
What issues can MOSAIC therapy help with?
MOSAIC online therapy can help with issues such as:
-
anxiety and worry
-
chronic stress
-
trauma and difficult life events
-
phobias
-
low self-esteem
-
repetitive emotional patterns
-
emotional overload
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions depends on the individual and their situation.
Since MOSAIC therapy is a brief therapy, some issues may improve within a few sessions (4–5 sessions), while others require a more gradual approach.
Does MOSAIC therapy replace medical or psychological care?
No. MOSAIC® therapy is a therapeutic approach that can support emotional well-being, but it does not replace medical, psychiatric, or psychological care when it is necessary.
However, it can be a complementary part of a comprehensive care plan, helping to address emotional regulation, stress, anxiety, or the effects of trauma.
In cases of significant mental health issues or ongoing treatment, it is recommended to continue care with the relevant healthcare professionals.
What is the difference between MOSAIC therapy and EMDR?
MOSAIC® therapy and EMDR are two therapeutic approaches that use bilateral stimulation (often eye movements) to treat difficult memories or trauma.
The main difference lies in how they address emotions:
-
EMDR focuses more on re-experiencing the traumatic memory in order to reprocess it.
-
MOSAIC therapy takes a gentler approach, working on internal resources and positive sensations without requiring intense exposure to the difficult memory.
The MOSAIC method is often perceived as more gradual and less emotionally taxing, while also aiming to reduce reactions related to trauma, stress, and anxiety.
What is the difference between psychology and MOSAIC therapy?
Psychology is a scientific and clinical discipline practiced by licensed psychologists, which aims to understand, diagnose, and treat mental health disorders through various therapeutic approaches (interviews, tests, talk therapy, etc.).
MOSAIC® therapy is a brief neuroscientific approach that uses gentle bilateral stimulation to help regulate emotions associated with difficult memories, stress, or trauma. It is not based solely on talking, but on emotional and physical experience.
Psychology provides a framework for comprehensive assessment and monitoring of mental health, while MOSAIC therapy is a supportive tool focused on emotional soothing and transforming reactions linked to past experiences.
These approaches can be complementary depending on the individual’s needs.
